SCHWEGO® mar 8300

Slip additive for solvent-borne coating systems

Chemical base:   Silicone polymer with organic solvents

Properties:   The addition of SCHWEGO mar 8300 to solvent based coating systems improves scratch, mar and blocking resistance. SCHWEGO mar 8300 improves slip, therefore even surface is formed and hence also film hardness increased. The tendency to dirt retention is diminished, disposition to foaming is reduced and gloss is conserved.

FDA-approval:   The non-volatile compounds of SCHWEGO mar 8300 are listed in FDA (U.S. Food & Drug Administration), title 21, Code of Federal Regulation (CFR). Details are visible in our Regulatory Information Sheet.

Applications:   SCHWEGO mar 8300 is mainly used in solvent based air drying and stoving coating systems. SCHWEGO mar 8300 can be used in most binder systems except some with hydroxyl groups.
