| Properties: | SCHWEGO matt 100 is an untreated thermal silica with very good matting efficiency with high transparency. Paints formulated with SCHWEGO matt 100 own excellent resistance against household chemicals. Due to the high purity and low electrical conductivity SCHWEGO matt 100 is in use in sensitive coating systems such as solder resist. SCHWEGO matt 100 improves flow behavior and increases storage stability in powder coatings. SCHWEGO matt 100 does not contain any nanomaterials as defined in the EU Commission Recommendation of 18 October 2011 on the definition of nanomaterials (2011/696/EU). | |
| Applications: | SCHWEGO matt 100 is usable for systems which are difficult to matt. It can be used in water-based, solvent-based and solvent-free formulations. Especially in clear coatings, leather paints, aqueous UV – coatings and all kind of top coats. | |

| Processing: | SCHWEGO matt 100 can be added to coating formulations in the latter steps of the production process. Post adjustment to the gloss level is possible in the ready paint. Normally, SCHWEGO matt 100 can be dispersed completely in the system with stir speed of 5 – 6 m/s for 10 – 15 minutes. | |
| Storage: | SCHWEGO matt 100 should be stored in sealed container in a dry, cool place, and removed from volatile organic substances. SCHWEGO matt 100 is inert and chemical stable. Nevertheless due to the high specific surface area absorption of moisture from the atmosphere is possible. We recommend to use SCHWEGO matt 100 within 24 months after date of manufacture. Subject appropriate storage, the described properties of SCHWEGO matt 100 remain stable for at least 3 years. | |
