| Properties: | BLISTER FREE 3 acts - depending on the system – as defoaming and deaerating additive. In most cases BLISTER FREE 3 also improves levelling. Even at maximum level of addition BLISTER FREE 3 is completely soluble in the coating systems. The elasticity of the film improves. | |
| Applications: | BLISTER FREE 3 can be used in solvent borne and water-based systems. In solvent borne systems BLISTER FREE 3 is particularly effective as deaerating and partially also as levelling additive. BLISTER FREE 3 is especially suitable for systems based on: • Alkyd • Alkyd / polyester • Unsaturated polyester • PU • Acrylates BLISTER FREE 3 is also very effective in water-based coating systems, particulary if they are based on: • Alkyd / acrylics • Saturated polyesters • Epoxy systems |

| Processing: | The dosage of BLISTER FREE 3 is 0.3 – 1.0 % on total system. The optimum quantity should be determined in laboratory experiments. It is recommended to add BLISTER FREE 3 at the beginning of the production to ensure good distribution of the additive. In pigmented systems it should be added to the millbase. Post addition is possible, if BLISTER FREE 3 is homogeneously distributed. | |
| Storage: | Do not store BLISTER FREE 3 at temperatures below 5 °C. Stir it up before use. Keep it in a cool, well ventilated place. At temperatures below 0 ºC the viscosity may rise and ingredients of BLISTER FREE 3 may cristallise. It is reversible by warming and stirring. Subject to appropriate storage, the described properties of BLISTER FREE 3 remain stable for at least 15 months, provided the original container is closed after use. |
