Processing: | The optimum dosage of SCHWEGO corrit 6831 is 3.0 – 5.0 %, calculated on total formulation. SCHWEGO corrit 6831 should added before dispersion of the pigments. Post addition is possible, if SCHWEGO corrit 6831 is homogeneously distributed. SCHWEGO corrit 6831 should be added slowly and carefully while mixing in order to avoid local overdosage. Before adding, predilution in one of the solvents of the formulation is useful, for instance water or glycol. To test the activity of SCHWEGO corrit 6831 it is necessary to use pre-rusted test panels and to carry out accelerated weathering. The salt spray test does not correlate with outdoor weathering and should not be used. SCHWEGO corrit 6831 does not lead to yellowing or langer drying times. Delays in drying time may occur if excessive doses are used. A slight discolouration may be possible and has no influence on the effectiveness of the product. The use of SCHWEGO corrit 6831 in pastel coloured paints should be tested beforehand. |
|
Storage: | Do not store SCHWEGO corrit 6831 at temperatures below 5 °C and above 30 °C. Stir up before use. Keep it in a cool, well ventilated place. Subject to appropriate storage, the described properties of SCHWEGO corrit 6831 remain stable for at least 12 months, provided the original container is closed after use. | |
