NO SED

Rheological additive against settling for solvent borne coatings, biodegradable

Chemical base: Organically modified bentonite with additives in solvent mixture
Properties: NO SED is very effective against settling and hard sediment in solvent borne coating systems with fillers such as barium sulphate or zinc dust. NO SED is easily distributed and compatible with most paint systems. It accelerates wetting of pigments and prevents flooding, even where pigments of different specific gravity are used. The dispersion time will be shortened. NO SED will create a thixotropic viscosity providing better processing and avoiding sagging when applied.

NO SED prevents settling and hard sedimentation. It is easy to incorporate and suitable for most solvent based systems. Also in very difficult uses NO SED shows effective results.
Applications: NO SED is suitable for solvent borne coatings based on alkyde (oven and air drying), acrylic, epoxy, polyester, chlorinated rubber, automotive and industrial coatings as well as road marking paints and zinc dust primers.

Processing: NO SED is delivered as a soft readily transportable paste. It is advisable to include NO SED into the mill base of the formulation made to obtain optimal effectiveness. The dosage is 0.5 – 3.0 % calculated on system.
Storage: Stir NO SED up before use. Keep it in a cool, well-ventilated place. Subject to appropriate storage, the described properties of NO SED remain stable for at least 2 years, provided the original container is closed after use.
